OKZHARP - Dear Ribane feat. Manthe Ribane Music Video (HYPERDUB)

Its been months in the pipeline and we can finally start talking about the new OKZHARP - Dear Ribane music video released  by Hyperdub Records. The track is the debut vocal performance for Manthe Ribane who is well known for her incredible dance performances along side Die Antwoord and VINTAGE Dance crew in the past. She has also been gaining fame in the art world in South Africa with her family collective and home studio Dear Ribane 113. It was a pleasure to be part of a great team once again, with Deon van Zyl behind the lens and later editing.

This is an ongoing artistic collaboration between myself and OKZHARP and adds another new piece of work with Manthe who is an ongoing inspiration and artistic collaborator (NOTXCS). This video takes you in to a pure performance realm, links to our full length video artwork Ghost Diamond but focusses on the artist Manthe and her incredible words, relevant dance moves and symbolic outfits.

OKMALUMKOOLKAT - ALL BLACK, BLACK KAT MUSIC VIDEO (AFFINE RECORDS)

The Okmalumkoolkat - All Black, Black Kat music video is a rerendering of South African cultural realities through the music of Smiso Zwane and visual direction of Chris Saunders. We enter a night ritual scene at an indoor swimming pool, the ritual based loosely on a Zulu cleansing ceremony, which is performed before a funeral to a male member of the family (A situation Smiso experienced as a child). We juxtapose this situation with the inclusion of South African modern sub-cultural influences experienced by the artist; these influences have manifested his modern sound and dance.

LV feat. Okmalumkoolkat - Spitting Cobra Music Video

So the second video for LV feat. Okmalumkoolkat is now out. The irony with this video is the fact that I shot it before the Sebenza video. We actually wanted to launch this one to introduce Okmalumkoolkat to the international scene and the drop the total madness in the Sebenza video, instead it came as a slow me downer after the fact.

Gazelle Music Video.

Today I went out with my good Colleague's from Gazelle and we shot their new music video for a collaboration track called 'Speak Up', which they have been performing live.
