The survivors of the wreckage : Sonar 2009

I was lucky enough to attend Sonar in Barcelona for a second year in a row this year. I partied alot more than i took photos this year but below are a couple of the shots that made it through. It was absolute mayhem at the festival and it felt like my brain had been through a meat blender after it, thus is the reason I am only putting this up now.

Enjoy and please feel free to comment.

The crowd of Sonar by day

Watching Sebastian on the Saturday night, the crowd was handed a 1000 masks of the portrait on his new album.

The light show during Fever Ray.

Grace Jones. What else can I say!

At 60 she's amazing.

Sebastian on his Pulpit with 30 000 people watching and dancing to his first ever live show.

Micachu and the shapes where one of my favorite bands at this years festival.

I'll let it talk for itself.

Young Black & Gifted - (Channel 0 Campaign)

I recently shot the Channel O 'Young, Gifted & Black ' campaign for Ogilvy Johannesburg. I have uploaded some of the images to the blog. The campaign started with a remake of a classic song which lead to a celebrity driven music video and later led onto a t-shirt campaign. They are currently running a competition where you can design a t-shirt of your own and enter it in to be part of the campaign.

We took the Smarteez who I shot last year and we dressed them into the shirts and shot them around Johannesburg. We shot them over one evening and one day in locations such as Joubert Park, Braamfontein and Kliptown Soweto.

Please visit the Channel O 'Young, Gifted & Black' to see some more of the campaign and take part in the t-shirt competition. Visit http://www.facebook.com/pages/Channel-O-YGB/79935513850?ref=ts.

Enjoy and please let me know what you think of the shots.
