Khayelitsha

As read on artheat, "Another cool kid white boy hanging in the slums yo." Written by another struggling white 'artist'/critic from Cape Town.

"I don't care what they say about me as long as they spell my name right." P.T. Barnum

Fashion in Khayelitsha

A week ago I thought about shooting Haute couture in Khayelitsha, the largest township in the western cape. Louw Coetzer, Liz van der Merwe and myself headed off with Rebecca from Y Models to the township. Above is one of the making of shots. The final shoot will be up the minute post production is complete.

Chicken or Fish

Recently in Mozambique I shot this shot of a bunch of fishermans daily catch which they where selling to all the tourists living in the area. The other pic is from Khayelitsha, shot outside a butchery off Mew Way Rd in the Township. The last pic was shot this week while shooting a fashion editorial in the township, I found it a little horrific the way the lambs head looks like its smiling. No wonder they call them smileys!
